Babe Ruth said “You just can’t beat the person who never gives up”, and I couldn’t agree more. That’s why I enjoy being a real estate agent. It is a profession where persistence and hard work pay off with the reward of satisfied happy clients.
Real estate is a third career for me. I was drawn to the profession because it allowed me to use my marketing and entrepreneurial skills and work with people in a very direct way. I’ve always been interested in how we make decisions. I studied psychology at Boston College to learn how the mind works and then earned an MBA at Johns Hopkins University to become an astute decision maker. Fresh out of business school, I wanted to experience starting something new, so I developed a company that imports goods from Latvia with wholesale distribution in the US. I loved the challenges of working in a country that just regained its independence, but I missed the group dynamic and pivoted to the corporate world. For 15 years I was the marketing director for industry leaders, such as Citibank, St Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital and Towns Sports International.
I started career number 3 after a pause to raise my kids. In 2015 I joined Houlihan Lawrence, the agency leader in Westchester County NY. By 2017 I was a Silver Award Winner for productivity. Real estate has been a great fit. The problem-solving skills I honed as an entrepreneur and the deep knowledge of sales, pricing and promotion I gained from marketing, prepared me for the many responsibilities of a real estate agent. Most importantly, I care deeply about my clients’ needs and I work tirelessly to earn their respect and trust.
